President
Tim Wright (2008-) Emeritus Professor of Chinese Studies at the University of Sheffield. Before that he spent twenty years in Australia, where he was President of the Chinese Studies Association of Australia, 1997-1999. His research is on modern Chinese economic history, where he is working on economic fluctuations in the 1920s and 1930s, and on the political economy of the contemporary Chinese coal industry, on which he has published an analysis of coal mining accidents.
